An exhibition at the NGCA about a body of work done within a span of over 20 years.

To be honest, during the first exhibition i did not fully understand what was happening at one end of the the screen it was a picture of runway models, the other was a factory in India, then there was the Channel brand logo . A bit chaotic i though. It was not until i went to his talks that i fully understood the meaning behind the work.

I understand the connection between the process of the brand making and what a simple brand name Channel, Gucci or Versace etc mean , i also understand the amount of work that goes into branding and most people know that too what we rarely see id the behind the scenes of the warehouses the chaos and the amount of work that goes through to put out a fashion line. For example during fashion weeks, we on; t see the beautiful photos in magazines, websites of models glazing the run way yet we forget there could have been maybe 200 photographers. Imagine the chaos the accidents the noise the light flashes cameras clicking etc. That was what Tim Mitchell hoped to show us and i think that the work was very well represented.
